Steffens Web Shop - 3 years

Just wanted to remind everyone of the challenge over at Steffens blog. We are celebrating the 3 years anniversary of the web shop and we invite you to send us a card (or drop it off) with a either fall or winter theme.

Martine Vik Magnussen

Many of you have heard about the Martine Vik Magnussen, a young Norwegian student that was found raped and murdered in London, March last year. Martine was a friend of a friend and therefore I would like to invite you all in joining the Facebook group: "Ta del i oppklaringen av drapet på Martine Vik Magnussen - Se dokumentaren!" On Wednesday there will be a signature campaign and I hope as many of you as possible could take the time to sign it. This will help put pressure on the English, Yemen and Norwegian government to find justice.

Thank you for caring and taking the time out of you day to help! And remember this is not just for Martine, but for you and me and our rights to justice.

Cupcake Craft Challenge 60

The weekend passed way to past but here we are again, Monday morning blues! And that means another Cupcake Craft Challenge for you all to join. This week we are want to see thanks a bunch cards/projects. I have made mine as a thank you card (with the text hand written in Norwegian).

Recipe:

• Stamps: None
• Pattern Papers: October Afternoon -Cookie Jar
  
• Embellishments: Green and orange flower from Nille, orange mulberry flower from Wild Orchides, leafes from Kremmerhuset. Lace from my Grandmother.
• Tools: Word Window Punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder - Victorian.
• Medium: Waterproof pen.

PfP - Weekend Workshop

FOREVER FRIENDS TUTORIAL

I made this tutorial for this Fridays's Weekend Workshop.

Seeing as I love the Forever Friends stamp I wanted to share a very basic tutorial with you on how I coloured my newest bargain! For this tutorial I have used the following colours: Oatmeal, Apricot, Blossom, Rose Pink, Primrose, Soft Lime, Lemon, Yellow and Ice Grey 1. I start of by colouring in the smallest spots on the image in round circle motions. (with the lightest colour tone, in this case Oatmeal) I then move on to colour the larger areas, continuing to use circular motions with my marker. When I have covered my whole image I add a darker colour (Apricot) where I want my shadows to be. When I have added the shadow, I go over the area with my lighter colour (Oatmeal), still in circular motion so that the edge of the darker tone blends with the lighter one. I repeat this step until I've cover all the areas I want to high light with these colours. I also add a line of grey around the whole image to give it some more life. Here I have used Ice Grey 1. I use the same steps to colour the gift box, using one light colour and one darker, in this case - Blossom & Rose Pink for the bow, Primrose & Soft Lime for the box and Lemon & Yellow for the tag. Blog Candy Winner (Candy No.2)

THANK YOU to everyone who sent me a card for Candy No. 2. I'm so amazed by all the beautiful cards that has arrived!! Just look at all these wonderful cards.
