Stampin' for the Weekend - RED & BROWN

I have decided to step down from the SFTW Design Team and this will be my last challenge. Kimmi and Donna have found a wonderful replacement for me and I'm extra happy that she is Norwegian ;) So before I show you my card I want to welcome Nancy to the SFTW and wish her all the best as a designer.

I have used Bazzill CC, n.a DP, Magnolia stamp colored with ProMarkers: Blush, Dusky Pink, Ivory, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Pastel Green and Mustard, Big flower from Ladybugs & Friends (bought at Den Blå Høne), small flowers from stash, metal charm, MF rubon, and creamy brown distress ink for edges.

Stampin' for the Weekend - Pocket full of...

This weeks challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend is to make a card with pockets. I made a envelope card using a tutorial that I found on Papirgleder's creative pages.

And this is how it turned out:

I have used some scraps and old papers so there will not be a material list for this card.

Stampin' for the Weekend - Rock n' Roll 60's

Sorry for my late post but my broadband has been playing games with me today due to bad weather.

This weeks challenge at STAMPIN' FOR THE WEEKEND is Rock n' Roll 60's. And we want you to use the following songs as inspiration:

On to my card, I made a birthday card for my friends and fellow club member Liv with a slug bug (Volkswagen Beetle) that was from the late 50's, so reckoned it would fit great as it is a convertible and the season for those are summer :) And that is also the season we go to V-dub meeting around the world. This is how it turned out:


I have used Bazzill CD, MME DP, Stamp from stash, Sentiment stamp borrowed from Beate, colored with ProMarkers, flower from stash, Martha Stewart border punch and a heart brad from MM.

Stampin' for the Weekend LAUNCH!!

Today is the launch of the Stampin' for the Weekend blog. The blog will try to have different challenges then every other one out there and we start it off with a color combo challenge. The first challenge is called "From Dusk till Dawn" and for this you need to make a card using the colors Purple & Yellow.

I made a birthday card for my friend Maritha and this is how it turned out:

I have used Bazzill CS, DCWV DP, ribbon from stash, prima flowers, spellbinders nesties label 1, gorjuss girl stamp, KH sentiment stamp, CB dots embossing folder and Autum Leaves swirls stamp on the corners. Images is colored with ProMarkers: Blush, Dusky Pink, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Lavender, Lilac and Yellow.

Weekend News

I wanted to share some exciting news with you guys.. I got picked to be on the Design Team of a brand new challenge blog called Stampin' for the Weekend! Woo hoo :) I'm so happy to be on the team and the other DT members are just to talent, I cant wait to work with them. And this comes at a really good time for me, some joy in all the sadness comes a long way in the healing process.

The launch of the blog is June 5th. If you are trying to find your way out of your comfort zone then this is the new blog for you!

The nameparty went well, Joachim tried the fish dish but I had hot dogs with the kids. Joachim stayed to go to a friends house where the name party was and I went to see my friend Maritha for a short visit. I have to get up early tomorrow to go to two car meetings in and around Oslo. Hopefully Joachim will go to and we can watch all the cars and meet their owners! :)
