Pretty Vintage

Takk for titten!

Lunch bag project #2

Here's my second project that I made with the brown paper lunch bags that we have at the store. This time I made it as a bag and decorated it with some gorgeous papers from PAPIRDESIGN, a vintage image, some gold embossing powder, distress ink coloured ribbon, charms from Kortgleder.no, stamp from Kort & Godt and punch from Martha Stewart.

Again this is not my regular style, but it was fun making something different so with two different styles from my regular one I'm hoping to capture more inspiration for this year Christmas production!

Thanks for looking and for your lovely comments girls!!

Today I wanted to show you a card that I made for my Grandmother. Its her birthday tomorrow (Friday) and as she loves blue and flowers this was the inspiration for this card. But it also fits some challenges.

Scrappekammeret - Anything goes

I have used a gorgeous vintage image from PRETTY VINTAGE, papers from Inkido, charms from Korthobby.no, sentiment from Norsk Stempeblad and flowers from Wild Orchids and Prima.

Happy 60th

When I made the Substitute Design Team card for Sukkersøtt I also made this matching card for a 60th birthday my Granny is going to next week. I love the vintage images that Gudrun has made for Minne-Hjørnet, making a card like this one doesn't take all night.

Papers are from Basic Grey, Vintage image from Gudrun (for Minne-Hjørnet), Text stamp from Stempelglede, flowers from Wild Orchids and Irene's Garden, Bling from Prima (birthday gift from my Brother, yeahiii), lace from Ask Antikk og Interiør. The paper edges are blended with Vintage photo.

This weekend will be spent sleeping and inking up my new In2Stamp stamps, and getting ready for some more classes at Steffens. I'm having a wedding invitation and place cards class on the 10th of February. There's still some empty chairs, so if you need some insipration on how to make easy and gorgeous invitations for your wedding this summer why not sign up.

Thanks for looking, I wish you all a great weekend!

Passion for ProMarkers Week 27

I cannot believe how fast the weeks are flying by, this week will be the first Sunday of advent and I haven't finished all my Christmas cards yet. Wooop. This weeks challenge at Passion for ProMarkers gave a good opportunity as the challenge is VINTAGE.

As you can see I have not coloured my image with ProMarkers this week, but I have coloured my lace and made the flowers using ProMarkers. I got the idea of the flowers when I was over at Caryn's blog. I have bent them the other way but the principle is the same.

A close up of the flowers. Aren't they cute.

I coloured a big enough area for the punch to cover with both blue and green and punched the number of flowers I needed, it's real easy in case you don't have any flowers that match your card or paper!

Recipe:
  • Image: Vintage pictures by Lene Solhaug
  • Pattern Papers: Inkido - 24:12 - Blå, Flinga - Blå
  • Embellishments: Snow crystal brad,
  • Tools: Retro flower punch (large, medium and small)
  • Medium: ProMarkers: Midnight Blue and Pine
This week one lucky winner will receive a gift voucher of £10 from Yellow Moon.

Thanks for looking and good luck with the challenge!!

Kort Cup # 4

FINALLY I managed to make a card for the Kort Cup over at Papirgleder. And I also managed to make a card I have been wanting to try out since I first saw it. The criteria for this challenge is to have folds, at least 3. And I think I will pass with this card!! :)

Supplies for this card can be bought at Hobby Norge, Steffens.

Thanks for looking! :)

If you live around the Oslo area, why not stop by Steffens on Saturday. I will be doing a demo on how to use the Bind it All machine! :)

Cupcake Craft Challenge 61

Its Monday again and time for another Cupcake Craft Challenge. This week we would like to see you use stitches and buttons on your card. And I have to admit I took out the sewing machine and was so eager to get my sewing machine back that I forgot to unfold the card when I was sewing on the card and ended up sewing it all together, making it impossible to open. LOL, so I had to add a new base and this is how it ended up:

The vintage style is something that I enjoy looking at but don't feel I have the hang of so I have challenged my self to make some for Christmas and this is my first attempt.

Recipe:

  • Stamp: Kreativ Hobby - God Jul
  • Image: Vintage print from Minne-hjørnet.
  • Pattern Papers: Graphic 45 - Christmas Past Collection.
  • Embellishments: Old hymn page, Tim Holtz ticket, Lace from my granny, Buttons from my granny, half pearls, flowers from Panduro and Wild Orchids, Scrappers Floss, Small cake paper heart.
  • Tools: Sewing machine, snow crystal punch.

A new path..

Yesterday I open a new path for my self, the vintage path. I'm not sure if this is me or not, but I do love all the vintage stuff that everyone else is making so yesterday when I made the wedding card I decided to give it another go with some gorgeous stuff that I received in a candy from Brita. She makes some amazing vintage creations so I'm happy I could make something "old" with the stash I got from her. This is what I ended up with before I went to bed yesterday:

I have used Bazzill CS, Image, green lace, pink flowers and green paper from Papirloftet, chipboard, small stitched doily, paperflowers, white lace, binders and ticket from Brita, Melissa Frances rubon, Martha Stewart doily lace punch and its all inked with creamy brown ink.

I want to enter this into this weeks Charisma Cardz challenge which is to make anything in any style using what ever you want :)
