Passion for ProMarkers Week 6

I keep getting the weeks mixed so sorry for confusing you with my titles for my posts. I even confuse my self. But let get on with this weeks Passion for ProMarkers Challenge, the challenge colors for this week are POPPY & MOSS GREEN. And you have to have something TASTY on your card. If you don't add something tasty you wont be in the draw for this weeks price, so get your reading glasses on! ;)

I have made a Christmas card with beer being my something tasty, cause my Mother always used to make homemade beer for Christmas and my Dad always sleeps in the chair so this digi stamp was a great description of my family during the December month :p This is how my card turned out:

I have used some scraps of last years Chritmas papers, digi stamp from DigiStamp Boutique colored with ProMarkers: Poppy, Moss Green, Sandstone, Cool Grey 1,2 og 3, some lace and flowers from my stash, metal tree charm, dymo red text, Spellbinder Nesties, and creamy brown ink.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week :)

Cupcake Craft Challenge 46 - SUMMER!!

This weeks challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge is set by Kathrin and she chose Summer..

"Summer has finally arrived - but here in Germany we had and still have way too much rain and temperatures too low. So, please bring the summer to us, proove me that it has really arrived by making some sunny, happy summer cards - whatever summer means to you."

So for this challenge I made another card to send out with my Pay it Forward "challenge", and that turned out like this:

See my tablecards post for description as I have used the scraps from there!

This weeks sponsor if Simon Says Stamp and they are offering a $20 gift voucher for one lucky winner, so join in and get a chance at winning to do some SSS shopping ;)

Next weeks challenge will be the last one in CCC history as Lauren has decided to close the blog done because she just does not have the time to run it anymore. And I think we all pretty much can relate to that, right? So let's make CCC go out with a BANG, I want to see everyone joining in and making it a great close down!!!

And I want to give a big thank you to Lauren for having me on her design team! It has been great and the challenges has been right up my ally ;)

A new path..

Yesterday I open a new path for my self, the vintage path. I'm not sure if this is me or not, but I do love all the vintage stuff that everyone else is making so yesterday when I made the wedding card I decided to give it another go with some gorgeous stuff that I received in a candy from Brita. She makes some amazing vintage creations so I'm happy I could make something "old" with the stash I got from her. This is what I ended up with before I went to bed yesterday:

I have used Bazzill CS, Image, green lace, pink flowers and green paper from Papirloftet, chipboard, small stitched doily, paperflowers, white lace, binders and ticket from Brita, Melissa Frances rubon, Martha Stewart doily lace punch and its all inked with creamy brown ink.

I want to enter this into this weeks Charisma Cardz challenge which is to make anything in any style using what ever you want :)

Passion for ProMarkers Worksshop #4

Some of us in the PfP design team have also had a go at coloring Ruth's gorgeous drawing. And I must say I find color larger areas of the same color a bit difficult, men with Michele's tutorial it went much smother then I had imagined. So here's my card with Ruth's drawing:

I have used Bazzill CS, Chaterbox DP, Stempelglede stamp for the edges, flowers from stash, sentiment stamp from Ladybugs & Friends, Spellbinders label two, Ruth's drawing colored with ProMarkers: Blush, Dusky Pink, Sandstone, Cocco, Pastel Blue, Blue Pearl, Cornflower, Apricot, Pumpkin and Cool Grey 1.

Thanks for looking, if you want this drawing just head on over to the PfP blog and download it there, we would LOVE to see how your card with the drawing turns out as a thank you to Ruth for drawing this up just for us!! :)

** Dette kortet kan kjøpes på Little's Shop **

Have a great Sunday everyone :)

Sukkersøtt #46

Since Joachim is away at a bachelor party I'm home with my grandfather and we are enjoying the lovely summer weather. I was suppose to finish cutting the lawn but some how I have totally forgot about it :o) Wooops. This evening I have made a card for this weeks Sukkersøtt challenge, the theme is weddings and I wanted to try to make something very different from what I normally do, with red ink on all my fingers and even some under my nose from a scratch I managed to make a card, and this is how it turned out:

I have used Bazzill CS (and Kraft), Song page from my grandmothers hymnal book, heart stamp from Stempelglede, brads from MM, Rubon from Norsk Stempelblad, English Red ink, paper distresser, some brown lace and small flowers inked with english red and a white highlighting pen for the hearts and lines.

Not sure if I like this or not, but thought what the hell. :)

** Dette kortet kan kjøpes på Little's Shop. **

Check out the Weekend Workshop at Passion for ProMarkers, the talented Ruth has drawn us an image free to downlad and Michele has provided a tutorial for coloring the drawing. Join in and show us how yours turns out!! :)

Have a great evening!

CPS121

With the sketch at CPS I made 50 table cards (or are they called name cards??). The napkins were blue with butterflies and the candle decorations were orange so I use a butterfly to match it all together. This is how they turned out:

I have used Bazzill CS, Sassafras - Sing Loud DP and QK butterfly. (and loads of glue)

If you have not check out the Passion for ProMarkers Challenge and the sketch at Cupcake Craft Challenge, then why not combine them and double your chances for a lovely price or two!?! ;)

Hope you all have a sunshiny day :)

Photochallenge from Merete

Yesterday Merete challenges me in a photo challenge and I was happy to go fishing for a photo to share. Here's Merete's picture of her gorgeous daughter Ingelin and here's my picture of my cutie pie angel Julie (I'm a very proud aunt!!!):

I used the light color of the Ingelin's cap to find a matching image, I found this one of Julie that I just adore, she is only a couple of months old in this photo and already grabbing onto my glasses. Both pictures have gorgeous little girls in them so I'm hoping that a qualified similarity.

These are the rules:
  • Post a picture on your blog that has something in common with the challengers picture (it can be colors, lines, composion, light, motive and more) Feel free to write what the pictures have in common.
  • Put the Fotoverden logo with a link in the post, and link to the person who challenged you.
  • Leave a comment on this post, and be in the draw for a price!
  • Pick three people who you want to give this challenge away to.

So I pick to give this challenge to some wonderful people:
  1. Kristine - She is such a multi talent!! :)
  2. Anita -I really like the way she photographs her creations, and those pretty kitty cats of her gives the photo's such a good feeling of home.
  3. Malin - I like her card photo's in the window with the garden in the back, sweet sweet sweet! :)
I hope you girls are up for this challenge!! :)

Thanks you Merete for passing it on to me! :)

Trykkpressa - Juni 09

At the first of every month Ett Trykk (a fab norwegian magazine for card makers and scrappers) have a challenge (Trykkpressa), and I always say I'm going to have my card ready early, but everytime its in at the very end of the challenge. Its like doing homework, hehe. But this time I'm a day earlier then I usually am so with no further due, here's my card for the June challenge:

I have used Bazzill CS, 3ndypapir DP (got some more at Den Blå Høne last week, yummy stuff), hänglar image colored with ProMarkers: Blush, Dusky Pink, Lemon, Soft Lime, Ruby, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Cocco, Mustard and Gold. The lace is from stash, flowers are from Prima, metal charm, filt text from a class kit, the small letters are from ADORNit (cheap, hihi) and the little brown thingys stiking out from the flowers is some old stash from my Aunt, and clear glitter glue to make it sparkle a bit!

After doing the PfP challenge using Lemon I was left with such a summer feeling (the sun and 25C + outside maybe helped to) so I wanted to make a summery card for one of the gifts I'm giving away for the Pay it Forward deed. And I forgot how cute this häglar image was so just had to use ut again :)

Have a great evening, come back tomorrow to see my photo for a photochallenge Mertete has challenged me in!! :)

Check out Aud Kirsten blog candy as she is celebratin 5000 visitors with some yummy stash!! :) Its open until July 1st.

Pay it forward & Awards

Lena Katrine has been so kind to pass the Pay it forward on to me and I'm trilled to take part in what I think ever since I saw the movie is such a great initiative.

Shortly about PIF:
The whole thing started with the movie "Pay it forward". The rolemodel of Haley Joel Osment, gives a great deed to another person. The only attach to the one who recives it, is that he/her has to promise to give something that matters to others. A simple demand, that may not be as simple that it sounds? Someone has now taken this principle further, and made it into a gift. The rules are simple - everyone can join, and only 3 rules have to be fulfilled:
1. You must have your own blog, so that you can spread the message.
2. You must like to make others happy.
3. You must ship your 3 gifts within the next 365 days.

The people I want to give away a gift to are: Gina and Denise - they are the best DT bosses you will ever find, they got heart, soul, creative talent, humor, they got it all!! :) And the last person(s) is Livi & Sille, they are mother & daughter that I got hooked on card making and they are so sweet lending me stamps and stash when ever I'm lacking something, thank you so much!!

Also I was lucky to recieved a award from Lena Katrine. Thank you so much cutiepie! ;)

Rules for this award:
1. Copy and paste this award into your blog.
2. Link to the one who gave it to you.
3. Give the award to someone you like, and make a link to them.
4. Make a message to them, about the given award.

So this one I want to give away to screppa (Torill) for her creative use of the ProMarkers for headings, flowers and all kinds of stash other then just regular image coloring. You are a great inspiration to me!! :)

I also got another award, but can't find it :/ So this will be it for now! Have a great evening!! :)

Stampin' for the Weekend - Rock n' Roll 60's

Sorry for my late post but my broadband has been playing games with me today due to bad weather.

This weeks challenge at STAMPIN' FOR THE WEEKEND is Rock n' Roll 60's. And we want you to use the following songs as inspiration:

~ A Whiter Shade of Pale - Procol Harum ~
~ Time of the Season - Zombies

~ Please Mr. Postman - Marvelettes ~

We have our Guest Designer Sandie with us this week to, so make sure you visit her blog and see her wonderful work!

On to my card, I made a birthday card for my friends and fellow club member Liv with a slug bug (Volkswagen Beetle) that was from the late 50's, so reckoned it would fit great as it is a convertible and the season for those are summer :) And that is also the season we go to V-dub meeting around the world. This is how it turned out:

I have used Bazzill CD, MME DP, Stamp from stash, Sentiment stamp borrowed from Beate, colored with ProMarkers, flower from stash, Martha Stewart border punch and a heart brad from MM.

Have a nice evening and remember to visit our sponsor this week Simon Says (they are offering a $25 gift voucher) and the DT to see their great cards!! :)

Wedding Card

Yesterday I also made a wedding card, I haven't made wedding cards in years so this was a personal challenge, I wanted to make it clean and simple instead of loads of stash like I usually do and this is how it turned out:

Made the card for my Aunt and stayed up late yesterday to finish it as I was seeing her at my grandmothers house today. And boy I'm tired after a day at her house, my brother was also there and we trimmed all the hedges, dug out an old root in the backyeard, cut the lawn, cleaned the strawberry field (she has gotten strawberries from our house some years ago, just as good as ours!!), trimmed the bushes and made it all pretty for summer.

I also managed to make a quick stop at Den Blå Høne, which is a fabric/paper shop in the center of where my grandmother lives. (Skarnes, where I grew up) And home with me came some beautiful flowers, clear bags and some papers (and I was only suppose to buy the clear bags.. WOOOPS) So if you live around the area of Skarnes you should visit the cosy store and meet the lovely owner! They have some classed coming up so why not try one out :)

Now I'm going to have a pizza (since I'm home alone) and make cards until my eyes closes :)

Have a great evening!!!

CPS-Card

I needed to make a card for a women turning 50 and was all out of mojo, but had to finish them so I could bring them with me to my grandmothers house today, so I used the CPS120 Sketch, this is the first time entering in the Card Positioning System Challenge so that's fun :) I rememberd that I hadn't made any cards with my new Basic Grey papers so took them out and put this card together, the poem says "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is the future, Today is LIFE!" And they say life begins at 50, so thought that would be a nice poem to have and I didn't want the number to take over the front of the card. I also decorated the inside with the left over papers and backside to match.

For this card I have used Bazzill CS, Basic Grey DP, Magnolia Cross titch Tilda colored with ProMarkers: Blush, Dusky Pink, Ivory, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Cocca, Amethyst, Lilac and white high lighter pen, corner decorations from Nille, Embossed Text from KH Design, Scalloped Nestie from QK with Tiny Alfa number, Martha Stewart border punch and colored lace in Amethyst.

Don't forget this weeks Berry Red & Royal Blue challenge at PfP,
Fathers Day/Something for a male challenge at CCC or
the Going Digital challenge at SFTW!

Wishing you all a day of sunshine :)

Passion for ProMarkers Week 4

PASSION FOR PROMARKERS WEEK 4

I must say I think the weeks are flying by a little bit to fast for me to follow, I'm scared this is going to happen to summer to and then in early September I'm going to pissed cause summer went by to quickly. Or maybe I just have to move to California or Miami.. :p

This weeks challenge at the Passion for ProMarkers blog was a hard one, I had to dig deep in my stash to find papers to match BERRY RED & ROYAL BLUE. But I did find one of my first blocks of paper and think it turned out okey so here it is:

On the Gorjuss girl I have used the blender pen a bit to make the coloring more highlighted as I didn't have any lighter red or blue to match for shadows. I have also used Bazzill CS, Karen Foster DP, ribbon from stash, Gorjuss girl colored with ProMarkers: Blush, Dusky Pink, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Cocca, Berry Red, Royal Blue and Blender, Brads from MM, Flowers from Retro punch, Prima and stash, Metal charm, Blue ink and Spellbinders Nestie Label Three.

This weeks sponsor is WHIMSY STAMPS

and there is a gorgeous stamp up for grabs called "Princess Emma"

Visit the other Design Team members to their lovely cards for this weeks challenge. On my right side menu you will find a bloglist of the latest updated blogs.

Have a great day and thanks for all your lovely comments!! ;)

3 in 1

Good evening/night

Tonight I made a card that actually fits three (3) challenges, I wanted to enter it in a forth (4) but they don't allow combining so maybe I'll make another one for that tomorrow. I made card with the papers from MME, I think the colors are so fantastic and I wish I had a life time of the Bloom & Grow series :)

This is how the card turned out:

And it qualifies for the following challenges:
I have used Bazzill CS, MME Bloom & Grow DP, Magnolia stamp paper pieced and colored with ProMarkers: Blush, Dusky Pink, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Cocca, Apricot, Cool Grey 1,2 and 3, Spellbinders nestie label two, Melissa Frances rubons, Prima flowers, MM brads, ribbon colored with ProMarker: Apricot, corner emelissment from Nille and personal stamp.

I know many of you are in love with the vintage style and for all of you I recommend you have a look at Joachim's Photoblog to see a great vintage shot from the Volkswagen show we went to in Sweden. I grew up with the movies and still have a soft spot for the car in this picture ;)

I'm off to bed, see you all tomorrow for the Passion for ProMarkers 4th challenge :)

CANDY WINNER

Sorry for the delay

Congratulations Hege from Hege's papirblogg. You are the lucky winner of my candy! Please e-mail me at: idamelby@gmail.com with your address and I will get the stash in the mail for you :)

Haven't had time to take a picture yet but will get to it now that I have finished the laundry & dinner! :)

For my next candy I want to give you all a heads up, I'm so fed up with certain ladies in blog-land just wanting to enter for free stash and not even reading the rules/criterias for the candy. And this does not just apply to candy posts but to challenges to, I know I have done it once for twice my self when in a hurry, but time after time, ah come on! If the color is blue you don't use orange. Sorry for bursting out to all my blog readers about this, I just had to get it off my chest. So be a sport and READ the whole post next time! :)

Thanks to all who joined in have a great week :)
